Goodbye, Meta! Hello, Fediverse!

Did you hear that the Hornell Democratic Committee's Facebook page was recently suspended for "impersonation." We don't know if we ran afoul of an algorithm or if someone reported us as a harassment tactic. We appealed the decision, but never heard back from Facebook.

This incident prompted the Executive Subcommittee to move the Hornell Democratic Committee away from Meta applications and towards non-commercial applications that that are part of the free and open-source Fediverse. So, today we replaced our Facebook and Threads accounts with a Mastodon account and our Instragram account with a Pixelfed account.
