Sponsored by the Hornell Democratic Committee, Corning Democratic Committee, Steuben County Democratic Committee, and Allegany County Democratic Committee

With the Republican Party in control of the federal government, it is more important than ever that Democrats run for local offices. We need ordinary citizens, low-income people, young people, women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ people to run for town, village, city, and county offices.

It is relatively easy to win local elections. This workshop will teach you the basics of getting your campaign off the ground in compliance with New York State law. Future workshops will teach you how to run your campaign successfully.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is for Democrats in Steuben and Allegheny counties who are interested in running as a candidate for a city, village, town, or county office in 2025, or who want to learn more about the process of running for a local office.
